Our client has an excellent reputation as a major international employer. They are part of a global group and a world leader in the design, development and sourcing of consumer goods with a vast product range that includes ladies, mens and childrens fashion apparel. They now have an opening for an Account Manager – Womenswear.
In this customer facing role you will manage and develop the business sales and profitability budgets through initiation and development of new product ranges that meet customer’s commercial requirements.
You will ensure the constant development of new product ranges giving continuity to business requirements and satisfying customer needs, being aware of the customer’s overall business requirements and plans to maximise any opportunities to gain further business. You will control and manage costs in line with agreed budget levels, evaluate and interpret market trends, initiate and drive new material and component developments, negotiate cost and selling prices of each product and create costings.
Assuming responsibility for all account activity, you will communicate effectively and build positive relationships with customers and all personnel involved with client accounts, ensuring on time delivery of agreed assignments. You will compile and contribute to the development of effective and stimulating design briefs and ensure compliance of all product related activity with the relevant regulatory bodies.
Previous experience in a Sales/Account Management role developing womenswear multi-products for the UK High Street, specifically George at Asda is required. You will share your technical expertise with the aim of gaining a competitive advantage for the business, be trend and commercially aware, with strong communication skills and the ability to think laterally and quickly whilst ensuring processes are managed and delivered on time, with the right first time approach.
