We are now delighted to welcome applications for the role of Technical Specialist.

Reporting to the Innovation Director, you will work closely within an enthusiastic Technical Team where you will provide first class Technical Support to your global customers, agents and distributors, Sales Team and Test Materials Team.  Working with the Innovation Team, you will play a key role in New Product Development, be a member of the User Experience Team, ensuring instruments are exceptionally easy to use and where possible that new users can operate instruments without the need of an operator’s guide.  Be a member of the NPD Project Team for your specialism. Perform customer testing, evaluate and interpret results, draw up test reports and give conclusions and recommendations. Attending ISO meetings, ensuring you are fully up to date with any issues that could impact the business, ensuring instruments have the latest standards loaded in their software, helping develop new standards where necessary.  Providing support to your customers with the businesses core textile instruments, in a professional manner, is key to this role’s success.

The ideal candidate will have experience in either a textile laboratory or in a textile manufacturing/quality control environment with specific expertise in using a range of textile testing instruments; previous work experience within a UKAS accredited laboratory would be an advantage. It goes without saying that you will be honest and sincere with high levels of integrity and professionalism, be a forward-thinking team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
