This successful manufacturer of ladies’ fashion apparel are looking to recruit a ChiefRepresentative to manage their office in Vietnam.
The Chief Representative is responsible for the general running and management of the office in accordance with Vietnam law and regulations; therefore a person who is already established in Vietnam is required and although the title of this role is Chief Representative, the role does not require a high level manager/director, rather a person who is very hands-on and used to managing and motivating a dedicated team.
Holding weekly team meetings
Working with Merchandisers to make sure production is on time and to place bulk orders
Identifying potential problems and working with team involved to find a solution
Prioritizing workloads within departments
Resolving staffing issues and conflicts and hiring new staff
Follow up, give instructions, solve problems and make decisions on daily operation
Reviewing and confirming tax and bank related documents concerning Rep office
Reporting day to day to UK Head office
Daily communication with buyers and factories
Fabric and Trim sourcing
Working with pattern makers for consumptions and with pattern and technical for construction suggestions
Garment costing, control margin
Review customer PO
Price negotiations with suppliers and with factories/reserving capacity and negotiating claims with buyers and suppliers
Applications are invited from clothing industry professionals, already based in Ho Chi Minh in either a merchandising, design or technical capacity with experience of managing and motivating a local team to achieve results. What is also essential, is your experience of dealing directly with factories to ensure production is on time, to spec and within budget.
International exposure and experience of living and working in the UK, Europe or Australasia is a distinct advantage.
As this is not a Senior Management role, the salary will reflect this and is negotiable dependent on experience.
