Post Now Filled.pert in knitwear design (preferably knitted accessories); ideally you will be familiar with Stoll knitting machines and their capabilities, or have the ability to live locally in Ayrshire and be mill based daily to receive hands on training over several months on the Stoll machinery. You should have a background in the UK developing own label designs for customers whilst ideally also managing and developing sales; able to work closely with senior customers designers and know that the products being discussed can be produced from the modern in house Stoll knitting machines. This is an interesting and multi-faceted role where you will also be responsible for the continued development of a talented Assistant Designer.
The Company seek not only the experience noted above, but a person with a Design Degree with considerable emphasis on knitting, who is passionate, accountable, professional and reliable and has the ability to either be based at the Mill in Ayrshire or travel to the Mill as often as the role requires; as well as to meet with customers or attend any relevant meetings/shows once safe to do so.
This is a full-time salaried position – not a freelance or contract post.
